Marvin Windows and Doors is a premium manufacturer of, you guessed it, windows and doors. And they've upheld their incredibly rich heritage and a legacy of craftsmanship for decades. As the lead writer on the account, I oversaw everything from emails and promotional ads to more robust, from-the-ground-up programs and product launches.

Refreshing replacement

Replacing windows is a costly, stressful, and confusing process—and no one tells you how to get through it. So designer Sarah Trent and I embarked on a multi-month journey to concept and execute the full Homeowner Replacement Kit, a series of resources dedicated to helping homeowners understand the what, when, and how of replacement. With an editorial approach to content and design, we turned something tedious into something I’m truly proud of.

Breaking tradition

Long the authority on wood windows, Marvin was ready to take on a new style: modern. To help prove themselves as a viable player in a space dominated by West-Coast competitors, we adapted the Marvin brand and voice to be bolder and sleeker for the launch of their new product line.

Without any real products to look at and specs that changed every day, we created, wrote, and produced a full brochure, product video, website, and marketing materials (with a little help from CGI).

Exhibiting the brand

For the 2018 International Builders Show (that’s IBS for those in the know), we wanted to bring to life their extreme standards of precision and attention to detail. And so The Marvin Standard was born.
