Taking on shame for Depend

with VSA Partners

Incontinence is a serious issue, and so are the feelings that come with it: embarrassment, discomfort, and, most of all shame, which thanks to Brené Brown, we all know as destructive and debilitating. So when we pitched Depend, we confronted that emotion head-on, to help women reclaim their bodies and feel okay about using Depend. We leaned in with a hard-hitting anthem spot (written and concepted by me) and then evolved it to make “No shame in that” the rally cry for taking care of yourself however you needed to. I’m still proud of this.

Heeding the call of urban adventure for Goose Island

with VSA Partners

Goose Island has city roots (shoutout to my former hometown), and wanted to reclaim them in a way that aligned with the mindset of urban drinkers. Inspired by the anything-goes journey of the best nights out, we nudged people to follow their curiosity and spontaneity to discover what was waiting out there. I channeled my former drinking days to write and concept this idea in both big brand manifesto language and itty-bitty social sixes.

Have you heard the big news?
